Dr. Mark Sklar is a board-certified endocrinologist with over 30 years of experience practicing medicine. He is board certified both in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Sklar specializes in the field of Endocrinology and Metabolism with special interests in thyroid ultrasound, ultrasound guided thyroid biopsy, thyroid cancer and diabetes. Dr. Sklar is one of the selected few endocrinologists in the country who has received the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU)
Dr. Sklar received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine where he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He performed his residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital of Medicine in New York and he completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Sklar is also a fellow of the American Association of Clnical Endocrinology, and the American College of Physicians.
He has admitting prvileges at the Georgetown University Medical Center, the George Washington Hospital and at Sibley Hospital. He is a member of The Endocrinology Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
